Hi, my name is Luke and this is my 60 gallon rimless LPS/softy dominate tank. The tank has been set up for almost 2 years now. There are currently 3 fish, a six line wrasse and a pair of clownfish. The tank lighting is 2 AI sol blues. My favorite thing in the tank is my large GBTAs. I would love to win Reef Cred, to show my tank to the world and provide inspiration to other reefers, or anyone who wants to own a reef tank.

What a Way to Start!

First off, we'd like to thank everyone for your unconditional support! Unfortunately, like doing anything for the first time, we had a few hiccups along the way; But we've learned a lot and you'll see an even better Reef Cred contest for the month of April. Being that we had some technical difficulties with our original poll being down for about a day, we quickly got a second poll up and running so as not to hinder the voting process. Needless to say, we're off to a great start for the Reef Cred Contest and this will be a great lead into the next season of Tank Wars.

That being said, we've added up the votes between the two polls. After a very close contest, Luke's 60 Gallon was deemed by you all as the first Reef Cred Winner. That's not to say we didn't have plenty of other amazing aquariums.

The Way Ahead

The way ahead is quite simple, guys. As long as you guys continue to interact and form a great community here at, we'll be dishing out monthly prizes and shout outs to express our appreciation. Here's what you've got to look forward to for the April Reef Cred contest.

  • Winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Neptune's Reef, the AQUAMEDIC aCone 1.0 EVO Protein Skimmer, and a spot on for an entire month
