Introducing: The Ultimate Tank Blog

Here it is, guys. Okay, so I did a play-on-words a bit with Thomas' "Ultimate Tank Build" series. It was great to see Thomas' 90-gallon build and it was a very successful series, but it's time to see more tank builds! I've dropped hints at it for months. I've spent countless hours documenting my new tank build and it's time to finally spill the beans. Besides, who doesn't love watching a new tank go up?

Okay, what's this all about?

Over the past couple of months, I've been working in collaboration with my local fish store, Neptune's Reef, on my dream 150-Gallon Reef build. Trust me, these guys are professionals! Over the next few months, I'll be sharing our experiences - the ins and outs of my latest 150-gallon build to include news, reviews, and spotlights of my favorite products and equipment.

Fortunately, I've had the resources from Uncle Sam's ole' tax returns this year to put the latest and greatest equipment into my build. I guess that's what happens when you have a baby, buy a house, and buy a car all in one year. Sure, it cost an arm and a leg, but a great reef tank is a lifetime investment, right? Not to mention, my 6-month old daughter and 5-year old son are mesmerized by the thing! That's the best investment of all!

What do we have to look forward to?

The series will consist of blogs, pictures, videos, tutorials, reviews, and recollections of every moment of the build. Hopefully this will provide some great insight and entertainment for reef-enthusiasts in all walks of life. I encourage you to follow my content, comment, like, or hate it. Regardless, I love the hobby and I especially love what the hobby does for my family and my community.

What will the series become?

Well, for those of you who enjoy the lost art of reading, I'd ultimately like the series to feature a new tank build blog every few months. One of the most exhilarating aspects of the hobby is setting up a new tank, and I love to watch a new build, so I'd like to be able to feature a new build on ThomasVisionReef on a regular basis. Using my own dream build as a launch, I hope to inspire others to share their builds with us! Whether you agree or not, it's entertaining to follow!
